The Church at Wiggy Corner

St Peter's Church is a very special place for us as it was where me and Lorraine were Christened, and where we took part in Girl Guide Services and walks through the church yard, and it is also where our mum's funeral was held and where she is buried in the Cemetery next door.

But it was also the location for a wonderful memory me and Louis have with Dad/Grandad. Dad loved sport of all kinds and especially loved watching the Tour de France, The Giro D'Italia etc on the TV. Then what should happen but the 2012 London Olympic Time Trial only went and passed by the top of his road! Well, me and Louis also love cycling and couldn't resist joining him to watch it. It was really magical, we got there early enough to get a fantastic place on the corner in front of the Church Gates, I went over to the chippy for some chips to keep us going and then there they were, whooshing by in a blur.

After they had whooshed by Dad took Louis home to watch the rest on TV while I made a dash on foot up Walton Road to Hampton Court, just in time to see them come in, and eventually sit by the riverbank listening to the National Anthem play after Wiggins won.

Since then whenever me and Louis visited and drove by, we would always go, there's 'Wiggy Corner'. What lovely memories we have of sharing it with Dad.
