I'm at Dad's house at the moment ready to do more sorting out after a visit to the Funeral Directors yesterday. In the background I have on some of the songs he loved, Dave Brubeck's 'Take Five' at the moment, and other songs and pieces I have chosen from knowing his love of them, or from looking at his Youtube favourites list. I feel really close to him listening to music as he loved it so much. Only on Christmas Day, he was telling me over the phone how much he loved music, all kinds of music, it didn't matter. He said it with so much passion and enthusiasm that it was one of the highlights of Christmas Day for me to hear him being so happy about something amidst all the other challenges of his life at the time.
